Audio & Music Editor
Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how PocketKnife Apps Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use Audio & Music Editor. It covers your media, device permissions, and the optional Google Drive connection. This app-specific policy governs the app’s handling of that information.

1. Your media and on-device processing

The app works with the audio and video files you import, recordings you make, and projects and edits you create. Audio editing and processing, including stem separation, take place on your device. We do not upload your media to our servers for processing.

The app does not send data to analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services. You can use the editor with local files without connecting a Google account.

2. Microphone, Photos, and Files

  • Microphone: used to capture audio when you choose to record.
  • Photos: used to access media you choose to import or to save media when you request it.
  • Files: used to open the files you select and save the audio you export.

You control the media you import and export. You can manage microphone and Photos permissions in your device’s Settings. Denying a permission may prevent the related recording, import, or save feature from working.

3. Optional Google Drive access

If you choose to connect Google Drive, the app requests your authorization through Google. It uses read-only Drive access to list files so you can browse them, and to download the audio or video files you select for editing. The app may access file information, such as names, file types, and identifiers, to display files and retrieve your selections.

Read-only authorization can allow the app to view and download files across your Drive. The app uses that access for browsing and importing the files you choose. It does not upload files to Google Drive, modify or delete your original Drive files, or change their sharing settings.

Connecting Google Drive is optional. Google handles its sign-in process; the app does not receive your Google password.

4. Storage, security, and sharing

Imported media and editing projects are stored locally on your device. Google sign-in tokens are stored in your device’s Keychain and used to maintain the connection you authorize. Requests to Google are made over encrypted HTTPS connections.

We use Google Drive data only to provide the browsing and importing features described in this policy. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties. Your imported media is not sent to us.

When you choose to export or share a file with another app or service, that destination receives the file under its own privacy policy. Files included in device backups or saved to a cloud-backed location are also subject to your device settings and the relevant provider’s policies.

5. Google API Limited Use

Audio & Music Editor’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Retention, deletion, and disconnecting Google

Imported media and projects remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app’s local data. You control exported files separately in the locations where you save them. Removing local copies does not delete your originals in Google Drive.

You can revoke Audio & Music Editor’s access at any time in your Google Account connections. Revoking access prevents future access to your Drive unless you authorize it again. It does not automatically delete files you already imported or exported. Removing the app does not replace revoking its Google authorization.

We do not maintain server-side copies of your imported media or Google Drive data. For information you voluntarily send to support, we retain it only as needed to respond to and resolve your request, or to meet legal obligations.

7. Support and privacy requests

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond to your request. Avoid sending media or other personal information you do not want to share.

For questions about this policy or requests concerning information you have sent to us, contact PocketKnife Apps Inc. at [email protected].

8. Changes to this policy

We will update the date on this page when this policy changes. If a change requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it before using your information for a new purpose.
